Fresh off the back of the release of update 40.20, Fortnite developer Epic Games is preparing a huge new crossover for the next Item Shop refresh. If you’re a long-time wrestling fan with a fondness for the Attitude Era, then the next pop culture crossover is one of the most exciting yet. With Wrestlemania 42 taking place over the course of two nights this weekend, Fortnite is planning to add Stone Cold Steve Austin and Liv Morgan skins to the Item Shop.

Stone Cold Steve Austin and Liv Morgan skins and items will be available when the Item Shop refreshes on April 16 in the US, and April 17 in the UK.

The new WWE skins will be available from 5pm PT / 8pm ET on April 16 in the US, or 1am BST UK time on April 17. That’s 2am CET if you live in Europe.

The skins and items are expected to be revealed in full at 6pm BST UK time later today, so check back for a closer look at the items shortly.

In addition to Stone Cold and Liv Morgan coming to the Item Shop, don’t be surprised if previously released skins make a return to the store over Wrestlemania weekend.

Previous WWE Superstars to appear in Fortnite include The Undertaker, Cody Rhodes, John Cena, Becky Lynch, and Bianca Belair.

The Rock also features in Fortnite, albeit as the character of The Foundation.

The new WWE skins launch just hours after the release of update 40.20, which coincides with the decision to make Save the World a free-to-play game.

The free-to-play Save the World game features a combination of solo and co-op play with PvE gameplay.

Players must build defences to survive, all the while rescuing survivors and experiencing an “epic story”.

The game features more than 150 weapons and heroes, as well as a variety of character classes, including Soldier, Ninja, Outlander and Construction.
