It’s Dolly Parton‘s birthday, and today we’re celebrating a music legend and incredible woman, marking her 80 years on earth. Most people won’t remember a time without knowing Dolly Parton’s name, having been in the music industry for an incredible 70 years after making her mark at just 10 years old. She has a long career in both the music and film industry, co-owns The Dollywood Company, and founded multiple charitable organisations, notably in multiple countries, including the UK. She has Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, a book gifting programme that delivers free books to children until they begin school. 

As for her music, her success came from her music at just 10 years old. It was when she was just 19 years old that her multiple charting singles were released, and she signed with Monument Records.
