Time to ditch your Echo? Amazon makes the ultimate Alexa upgrade more affordable
It’s been a very long time coming, but Amazon has finally refreshed its popular Echo speakers with a duo of great-sounding devices. The latest Echo Dot Max and the ultimate Echo Studio went on sale last month, and both now feature a refreshed design and significantly improved audio quality compared to their predecessors. That makes them ideal for anyone considering an upgrade to something that sounds a whole lot better.
Thanks to some big tweaks inside, the Dot Max booms out music with bigger bass, whilst the Echo Studio will easily get the party started despite being 40 percent smaller than before – it’s even compatible with clever spatial audio and Dolby Atmos for a true surround sound experience.
Both of these speakers are powered by the AZ3 chip for advanced performance and improved ability to hear when users shout “Alexa!”.
In addition to sounding better, the new Echo devices are also smarter and fully prepared for Alexa+, which is expected to arrive in the UK soon. This clever new Amazon assistant can chat to you like a real person, answer more queries, make reservations, and even order your online shopping. It’s currently free for Prime members in the US, where it launched earlier this year.
The Echo Dot Max is priced at £99.99, with the Echo Studio costing £219. However, thanks to Black Friday, both of these all-new smart speakers are now cheaper. In fact, you can grab the Echo Max for £89.99 whilst the Studio is reduced to £199.99.
Those are very decent discounts considering how new these speakers are. Along with those offers, Amazon has cut the price of its entire Echo range and here are all the best offers.
