If you’re looking for a pretty coastal spot to visit, there’s one you can’t miss out on. Cadgwith in Cornwall is a beautiful place to visit, even in the colder weather, and it makes for a refreshing destination in November.

The village is known for its quaint and historic style, making it look like it has been frozen in time. Cadgwith is everybody’s idea of an archetypal fishing village with its tight cluster of thatched cottages lining the sides of the valley and the small fleet of colourful fishing boats winched up on the shingle beach, says Cornwall Guide.

A must-visit spot in the area is its Cove, which has become a popular area for visitors.

One person on Tripadvisor who visited, said: “Cadgwith Cove is a very pretty and unspoilt harbour with fishing boats still working off the main beach.”

The person adds: “Harbourside there is a pub, cafe, wet fish shop and a couple of shops.”

Britain Express notes that the village has a “timeless” feel and is a standout spot on the Lizard Peninsula.

The area is so picturesque, it was used as a setting for the 2003 film Ladies in Lavender, starring Judi Dench and Maggie Smith.

If you’re hoping to explore the area, you can take a clifftop walk between Cadgwith and Church Cove.

Along the way, you’ll see stunning views, beautiful coastal scenery and you’ll be able to keep a look out for signs of the village’s maritime heritage.

While you might traditionally think of visiting the seaside in summer when the weather is warmer, autumn is a great time to see this part of the coast.

There will not be many tourists around, meaning you will be able to enjoy the rugged beauty of the village.
