With Christmas just around the corner, Tesco is giving customers a last-minute chance to top up their Clubcard savings and earn a bonus for their festive shop. The supermarket has extended the deadline for its popular Clubcard Christmas Savers scheme, giving shoppers a few extra days to make the most of the offer.

Originally set to close on Thursday 16 October, the scheme now allows customers to join or top up their savings until Sunday 19 October. This extension comes as a welcome boost for shoppers who may have left it a little late to get their Christmas cash in order. Tesco’s Clubcard Christmas Savers scheme is designed to help customers save all the Clubcard vouchers they collect throughout the year for their Christmas shop. On top of this, members can add their own money to the scheme, up to a maximum of £360. The supermarket rewards top savers with a bonus, giving them extra spending power just in time for the festive season.

Customers who top up at least £200 will receive a £12 bonus from Tesco. The process is simple: shoppers can add money via the Tesco app or the Clubcard website, and all vouchers will then appear in their November Clubcard statement, ready to be spent in-store or online.

The scheme is flexible, with top-up money held securely in a separate bank account until vouchers are issued. A professional trustee company, independent of Tesco, helps manage the account, giving shoppers peace of mind that their savings are safe.

Tesco Group Membership and Loyalty Director Shama Wilson said: “We know that Clubcard Christmas Savers is always popular as it helps our customers to save for their big Christmas shop, plus they can get up to a £12 bonus on us. Time is running out for this year’s scheme, but we’re giving customers an extra three days until the end of 19 October so they can save even more for the festive season.”

Vouchers and top-up money in the scheme are valid for two years, while bonus vouchers must be used within three months. It’s important to note that top-up and bonus vouchers cannot be redeemed with Tesco Reward Partners.

The Clubcard Christmas Savers scheme is one of Tesco’s most popular loyalty offers, giving shoppers a straightforward way to make their festive budget go further. By simply adding their vouchers and a little extra cash, customers can secure a bonus and ensure they have more to spend on gifts, food, and festive treats.
