Telltale-style superhero game finally gets Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 release date | Gaming | Entertainment

Fresh off a couple of nominations at The Game Awards, a Telltale-style comedy adventure game is finally making its way to the Nintendo Switch and Switch 2. Developed by former Telltale developers at AdHoc Studio, Dispatch was originally released episodically on PlayStation 5 and PC back in October. All episodes will be available at launch on the new platforms.

Created by the team behind Tales from the Borderlands and The Wolf Among Us, Dispatch follows a superhero workplace that bins the capes and spandex in favour of computers and headsets. Set in modern day Los Angeles, Dispatch delivers a sharp, hilarious and wild take on the genre, where saving the city is mostly meetings, sarcasm and bad decisions.

The new Switch versions will launch sooner than we hoped, releasing on January 28, 2026.

Pre-orders are available from the Nintendo eShop right now, where Nintendo is giving early adopters the chance to purchase the game for the reduced price of £22.49. The price will revert to £24.99 at launch.

The Switch 2 version is available as a free upgrade for the original Switch version, just in case you’re yet to upgrade but plan to in the future.

Players take the reigns of Robert Robertson, aka Mecha Man, a washed-up hero whose mech suit gets totalled in a scrap with his nemesis.

With nowhere else to go, he lands a job at a superhero dispatch centre, managing a volatile bunch of reformed supervillains.

You’ll send heroes out to help the public, all the while juggling office politics with rebuilding your suit.

As you scheme your way back into the action, every choice shapes relationships and the city’s fate.

Blending branching storytelling, light strategy and plenty of humour, Dispatch also features a stacked voice cast including Aaron Paul, Laura Bailey, MoistCr1TiKaL, Jacksepticeye, Matthew Mercer and Jeffrey Wright.

It turns out being a hero is just as stressful when you’re stuck behind a desk.
