The Steam Winter Sale is about to take place for 2025, which means huge discounts on literally thousands of PC games.

Steam’s biggest and best annual sale runs for more than two weeks, giving fans lots of time to take advantage of all those sweet, sweet discounts.

If you want to pick up some PC games at rock bottom prices, then the good news is that the 2025 Steam Winter Sale kicks off at 6pm GMT UK time on December 18.

US shoppers will be able to make savings from 10am PDT/1pm EDT, while European customers will have to wait until 7pm CET.

The Steam Winter Sale runs for just under three weeks, ending at the same time on January 5.

If you have as many games on your Steam Wishlist as I do, then the extended run time is great news.

Speaking of great news, some of the discounts have been revealed early thanks to a leaked trailer (below).

This includes price cuts on some recently released blockbusters such as Borderlands 4 and Dying Light The Beast.

Other triple-A games to receive discounts include The Last of Us: Part 2 Remastered, Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 and Assassin’s Creed Shadows.

Elden Ring Nightreign is another high-profile game with a price cut, alongside Dynasty Warriors Origins, Megabonk, R.E.P.O and Deltarune.

Other games included in the sale include Tainted Grail: Fall of Avalon, Dune: Awakening, Rematch and Slime Rancher 2.

Digimon Story Time Stranger, RV There Yet, Escape From Duckov and Dispatch will also feature.
