Roman’s ‘luxurious’ wedding guest dress ‘doesn’t cling anywhere’

Spring has sprung and wedding season is upon us. The likelihood is shoppers have at least one wedding pencilled into the diary this year, and it’s never too soon to begin planning an outfit.

Those planning to wear a fresh dress but require some styling ideas, it’s worth looking at Roman. The high street brand has recently launched a dress in two shades that are ideal for wearing to any wedding celebrations over the coming weeks and months.

Better still? The Jacquard Midi Wrap Dress won’t break the bank. The dress is priced at £60 but shoppers who enter the discount code LUSH at checkout can knock 10% off all new season pieces, including this dress.

This reduces the price of the Jacquard Midi Wrap Dress to a modest £54 with complimentary express delivery as well. Customers can purchase it in either blue or pink across sizes ten to 20 in a regular length, all of which remain available online.

The sophisticated dress boasts a feminine V-neckline that’s flattering while remaining modest. It features a wrapped style with a fabric belt to nip in the waist and create an hourglass silhouette effortlessly without hugging curves or accentuating problem areas, reports the Manchester Evening News.

The dress is completed with short flutter sleeves and a skirt that drops to a midi length. Midi length dresses are regarded as universally flattering because they balance proportions and lengthen the legs by drawing attention to the slimmest part of the calf.

Thanks to its adaptable design, the dress can be styled up or down with ease. For more relaxed events, team it with a denim jacket, or incorporate a fascinator and wedges or heels when attending a wedding.

The dress is equally suitable for anniversary celebrations and graduations. Similarly, it pairs well with flats or sandals at garden barbecues.

Meanwhile, Nobody’s Child has slashed its Monochrome Polka Dot Alice Midi Dress from £110 to £88, providing a 20% discount. Crafted with contrasting black and white polka dots, the monochrome bandeau dress boasts a fitted, pleated bodice that flows into a full skirt complete with pockets.

As an alternative, Next’s Geo Chiffon Short Sleeve Midi Dress is priced at £59. The midi dress showcases a stunning Art Deco-inspired print and is enhanced with graceful puff sleeves and a refined tiered hem silhouette.

Returning to Roman, the Jacquard Midi Wrap Dress has accumulated three enthusiastic reviews thus far. The first stated: “Love this dress. Flattering on me (I’m 5ft 3ins) and the foil detail shimmers in the light beautifully. It does everything, covers the tops of the arms, drapes over a larger bust, doesn’t cling anywhere.”

The second states: “Had a lot of compliments wearing this dress at an ABBA party in London last weekend. Love it.”

One aspect worth noting, though, is its composition. The Jacquard Midi Wrap Dress is predominantly crafted from a viscose fabric with metallised elements that lend it a sparkling sheen.

Although viscose is soft and breathable, renowned for its silky texture and superb drape, it can be fragile when wet. Viscose has a tendency to crease and shrink, which is why shoppers should adhere to the care instructions on the dress to preserve its shape.

Despite this, a third shopper was delighted with their latest Roman purchase, commenting: “Beautiful dress. The colour and material are luxurious and the shape of the skirt is lovely.”
