Resident Evil Showcase: Date, UK start time and how to watch | Gaming | Entertainment
Excitement is building ahead of the first mainline Resident Evil game in five years, Resident Evil Requiem, and Capcom is pulling out all the stops to get fans’ pulses racing. The company has announced a dedicated Resident Evil Showcase this week, promising never-before-seen footage of the long-awaited horror title — and possibly even more surprises.
The event will run for just 12 minutes, featuring “all the latest info on Resident Evil Requiem,” including anticipated gameplay clips and perhaps another cinematic trailer. Requiem is set to launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch 2 and PC (Steam and Epic Games Store) on February 27, 2026.
Capcom may have even more in store, with the developers warning that “some of the games included in the show aren’t suitable for children.”
This hints at fresh details on other Resident Evil titles, including reminders of upcoming Switch 2 ports for Resident Evil 7 and Village, both arriving also on February 27.
All signs also point to a possible tease for the next Resident Evil movie, a series reboot from Barbarian and Weapons filmmaker Zack Cregger, set to hit cinemas this September.
