PS Plus Extra and Premium October 2025 reveal date, time and early game leaks | Gaming | Entertainment
The next wave of PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium games are about to be unveiled by Sony, and with Halloween around the corner, fans are expecting some horror games to make an appearance.
The new PS Plus Extra and Premium titles will be officially announced by Sony at 4.30pm BST UK time on the afternoon of October 15. The games will be available to download and play less than a week later, on October 21.
Of course, it looks like one of the games may have leaked early, and it’s the perfect release for Halloween.
According to a recent report, the excellent Silent Hill 2 Remake will seemingly join PS Plus Extra on October 21.
Last year’s Silent Hill 2 remake benefits from enhanced visuals and sound, as well as various other quality of life improvements.
It also adopts the popular over-the-shoulder gameplay style popularised by fellow survival horror games like Resident Evil 4.
Indeed, the combat system has been updated with new moves such as the ability to dodge attacks and aim down sights.
Sony also recently gave fans an idea about what to expect from upcoming PlayStation Plus Premium releases.
Iconic fighting game Tekken 3 from the original PlayStation is coming to PS Plus Premium, alongside the PS2 version of Soulcalibur III, and Tomb Raider Anniversary.
While it’s unclear when the aforementioned games will be available, there’s a good chance at least one of them will join PlayStation Plus Premium in October.
Needless to say, in the monthly predictions thread over on Reddit, many fans believe horror games like Resident Evil Village, Resident Evil 4 Remake, Phasmophobia, Outlast Trials and Still Wakes the Deep could be added to the Extra library this month.
That’s on top of picks for Assassin’s Creed Mirage, Cuphead, Hades, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, Dragon’s Dogma 2, Atomic Heart and Pacific Drive.
Unfortunately, however, it’s not all good news, because multiple games will be leaving PlayStation Plus Extra on the same day.
On the plus side, only four games are currently tipped to leave the service, which is far fewer than previous months.
Games leaving PS Plus Extra on October 21 include Ghostbusters: Spirit Unleashed, Tour de France 2023 and The Last Clockwinder.
That’s on top of first-person shooter Battlefield 1, which makes sense given the recent release of Battlefield 6.
