PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium subscribers are counting down to the release of the new games for April 2026. After making the announcement last week, Sony is getting ready to add seven PS5 games to the PS Plus Extra Catalog, and one retro title to the PS Plus Premium tier. The April 2026 games line-up is headlined by open-world racer The Crew Motorfest, which is joined by heavy-hitters such as Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered and Football Manager 26 Console Edition. The PS Plus Extra and Premium games have an April 21 release date and a 9am BST UK release time.

The Crew Motorfest is an open-world racing game set in Hawaii. The game features a variety of solo and multiplayer challenges, as well as dozens of races and numerous themed events.
“Race legendary vehicles in a never-ending festival of car culture,” reads the official description. “Explore the breathtaking Hawaiian archipelago, transformed into a premiere racing destination.
“From Honolulu’s city streets to rainforest trails, mountain roads and volcanic slopes, discover a wide variety of environments.
“Experience this motor paradise solo or with your crew, as you take the wheel of hundreds of iconic vehicles and participate in thrilling races, themed events and unique challenges. Whatever aspect of car culture you enjoy, there’s something here for you.”
Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered, on the other hand, features new and improved visuals, as well as DualSense controller support and The Frozen Wilds expansion.
Other games coming to PS Plus Extra includes Football Manager 26 Console Edition, which a fully-licensed Premier League line-up, as well as new animations, controller shortcuts and more.
Some other fun titles joining PlayStation Plus Extra include Monster Train, which is a superb roguelike deckbuilder where you fight on three fronts at one time.
The Casting of Frank Stone, Squirrel with a Gun and Warriors: Abyss will also be available for PS Plus Extra subscribers from April 21.
Of course, it’s not all good news, because Sony is about to remove a number of games from the PS Plus Extra Catalog on April 21.
Indeed, consider this your final warning to play the likes of Dave the Diver, Disaster Report 4: Summer Memories, EA Sports PGA Tour, Splitings and Towerfall Ascension.
Towerfall Ascension is a brilliant multiplayer action game, so it’s worth picking up if you haven’t already.
Lost Records: Bloom and Rage is also leaving PS Plus Extra on April 21, roughly a year after joining the service.
