Pokemon Presents start time, Gen 10 rumours, FireRed, LeafGreen launch and more | Gaming | Entertainment

Pokemon fans are counting down to the start of the big Pokemon Presents conference, which takes place to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the release of Red and Green.

As part of the anniversary celebrations, The Pokemon Company is expected to make a series of big announcements.

That’s on top of the release of Pokemon FireRed and LeafGreen, which will be available for Nintendo Switch following the conclusion of the presentation.

The Pokemon Presents conference will take place at 2pm GMT UK time on February 27. That’s 6am PST / 9am EST if you live in the US, or 3pm CET for European fans.

The news was announced by The Pokemon Company on X: “How about some Pokemon news, Trainers?

“Tune in to Pokemon Presents at 6am PST on February 27, and join us in celebrating 30 years of Pokemon! See you there!”

The Pokemon Presents stream will be broadcast live on YouTube. Daily Express will embed the livestream closer to the start time, so check back to watch in full.

In terms of what fans can expect, all signs point towards the reveal of a set of new Gen 10 Pokemon games.

Remarkably, it’s been four years since the release of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, so a new mainline Pokemon entry would definitely make sense.

The Gen 10 Pokemon games are said to be titled Pokemon Wind and Pokemon Waves, but expect confirmation during the Pokemon Presents.

In addition to the Pokemon Gen 10 reveal, The Pokemon Company will almost certainly share new information about Pokemon Pokopia, which launches on March 5.

Likewise, expect news about upcoming events for Pokemon Go, which is about to celebrate its ten year anniversary.

There’s also likely to be a Pokemon Champions update, which will hopefully include a release date.

Once the Pokemon Presents conference concludes, Nintendo will release Pokemon FireRed and LeafGreen on the eShop.

The game should be available to download from 3pm GMT.
