After a couple of leaks and a feeling of disappointment for some subscribers, the PlayStation Plus games have finally been revealed in full. PlayStation Plus subscribers already had a pretty good idea about what to expect, with Lords of the Fallen leaked ahead of the big reveal. Likewise, Sword Art Online: Fractured Daydream was also leaked before the official announcement, and was met with far less enthusiasm. The third and final game has since been announced by Sony, and it’s a pretty decent offering, especially if you’re a fan of retro games.

Available from the morning of April 7, the PS Plus line-up will also include Tomb Raider I-III Remastered.
The collection contains the original trio of games from the PSOne era, complete with the option to play with old-school graphics or upgraded visuals.
It also contains various expansions and secret levels, as well as a new challenge mode with unlockable costumes.
Sony explains more: “Play the original three Tomb Raider adventures: for the first time ever, play the complete experience with all expansions and secret levels on modern platforms in this definitive collection.
“Experience the classics boasting upgraded graphics, with the option to switch to the original polygon look at any time.
“The collection includes a new Challenge Mode: replay levels with customised modifiers and complete achievements to unlock 10 New Outfits that enhance Lara’s abilities.”
Interestingly, the new costumes have been criticised by some fans, who have accused the developer of using generative AI.
Developer Aspyr has denied the claims, and has since released an update that attempts to fix certain texture issues.
Prior to the controversy surrounding the possible use of AI, the game had been well received by fans and critics.
The game has a Very Positive review score on Steam, and a decent 75% score on Metacritic.
Old-school Tomb Raider fans are likely to enjoy revisiting these classics with improved visuals, while newcomers will appreciate the quality of life upgrades and modern controls.
Overall, the PS Plus line-up for April is a mixed bag. While Lords of the Fallen and Tomb Raider are decent enough games, Sword Art Online is perhaps a little too niche for most.
It’s also worth remembering that you only have until April 7 to redeem the current line-up of PGA Tour 2K25, Slime Rancher 2, Monster Hunter Rise and Elder Scrolls Online Collection.
