Marvel Tokon Fighting Souls Steam page sheds light on unwanted feature for PC | Gaming | Entertainment

More information about upcoming brawler Marvel Tokon Fighting Souls appears to have leaked ahead of this week’s PlayStation State of Play event.

Sony will hold a bumper 60 minute State of Play broadcast at 10pm GMT UK time on the evening of February 12. Games like Marvel Tokon Fighting Spirit are always a safe bet to make an appearance during the broadcasts, which will be streamed on YouTube and Twitch.

With the State of Play event just a few days away, the Marvel Tokon Fighting Souls Steam page was seemingly updated prematurely by the publisher.

As spotted by industry insider Wario64 (below), the upcoming fighting game will seemingly launch with 20 characters, which has drawn criticism from some fans.

It is, however, described as an “expanding roster”, which suggests more characters will be added as DLC.

The game is also said to contain a single-player Episode Mode, which will provide players with lore and team info.

Elsewhere, the Steam page mentions “dynamic stages” with interactive transitions.

However, in slightly more controversial and unwanted news, it looks like PC users will once again need a PlayStation account to play the game online.

“Face off against a friend locally or join the fray with up to 64 players in the online lobby,” Sony explains, before confirming that an account for PlayStation is required to access online multiplayer.

Marvel Tokon Fighting Spirit is being developed by Guilty Gear studio Arc System Works.

The game doesn’t have a concrete release date, but is currently listed for a 2026 launch.

Here’s hoping we find out an exact date when Sony holds its State of Play event on February 12.
