King Charles’s true feelings about Prince Harry’s recent appearances laid bare | Royal | News
While some may wonder if the comment would prompt some annoyance from the royals across the pond, one royal expert said King Charles certainly “won’t mind” the joke.
Speaking exclusively to Express.co.uk about the comment, Richard Fitzwilliams said: “This is pretty harmless and actually rather funny. The King won’t mind as it was light-hearted fun and we all love Downton.”
Mr Fitzwilliams then said that while the comment and light-hearted appearance was harmless to the royals, it suggests that Harry is “at a loss”.
He said: “Harry seems at a loss as he isn’t actually doing very much. Their (Harry and Meghan’s) Netflix contract has been altered, he has lost Sentebale, and whereas there is nothing wrong with a bit of humour, it’s time he did something serious as he used to, when he was a working royal!!”
While Christmas is just weeks away, Prince Harry is not expected to see his father, King Charles, on the big day.
Instead, it is believed Harry will spend the day at his Montecito home with his wife Meghan Markle and their two children, Prince Archie, six, and Princess Lilibet, four.
