Donald Trump has warned Iran to make a deal or face “hell” in a new message shared on social media. Taking to Truth Social, the US President wrote: “Remember when I gave Iran ten days to MAKE A DEAL or OPEN UP THE HORMUZ STRAIT. Time is running out – 48 hours before all Hell will rain down on them. Glory be to GOD! President DONALD J. TRUMP”

The update comes as both the US and Iran search for an American service member who went missing after Iran shot down an F‑15 fighter jet. One of the two crew members has already been rescued, while the other is still unaccounted for. Reports said Iran is offering locals about £50,000 if they hand over the missing pilot alive.

It comes as the US special forces entered Iran to rescue a crew member of the downed F-15 fighter jet, which on Good Friday crashed over the south of the country. Tehran shot down the aircraft over its airspace, marking the first fighter jet destroyed by enemy fire since the war began just over a month ago. Two crew members reportedly ejected, one of whom was rescued by two US military helicopters and low-flying refuelling aircraft, which were also targeted by Iran. Both of them were hit, and one was seen with smoke pouring out of it as it flew back to Iraqi territory, where it landed safely, officials confirmed.

The rescue pilot is now undergoing medical treatment, two US officials confirmed to Newsmax.A rescue operation is still ongoing for the second pilot, according to reports, and is facing a race against time after Iranian police reportedly put a bounty on them. The anchor on a local broadcaster in Iran’s Kohkilouyeh and Boyer-Ahmad province read the following announcement on Friday: “If you capture the enemy pilot or pilots alive and hand them over to the police, you will receive a precious prize.” On Saturday, Sky News reported local governors were offering Iranians $60,000 (£45,000) to hand the pilot alive to police.
