How to get a refund for Football Manager 26 on Steam
You can get a refund on virtually any purchase on Steam for a multitude of reasons. Perhaps the new FM26 doesn’t meet your hardware specifications, or maybe you despise the UI so much that you want your money back to spend on something else.
As long as the refund request has been made within 14 days of purchase, and if the game has been played for less than two hours, you’re golden. If for whatever reason you don’t meet these specifications, you can ask for one anyway, but there’s no guarantee you’ll be successful.
To submit a refund request for Football Manager 26, follow this step-by-step guide:
- Go to Steam Support and log in to your Steam account
- Navigate to ‘Purchases’ and select the game you want to refund
- Select the problem you’re having with the game and then choose ‘I’d like to request a refund’
- Follow on-screen prompts to select your refund destination (payment method or Steam wallet)

Additional requests can be made within 90 days, but are less likely to be successful.
Xbox explains: “We provide digital game product refunds as part of a consistent and reliable buying experience. However, if it appears refunds are being abused, we reserve the right to stop offering refunds except where legally required.
“All refund request decisions are final. If the refund request is denied, you can appeal the decision by replying to the email message that you receive about the decision. You cannot resubmit the same refund request on this page.”

- You will see a list of eligible recent purchases. Select “Request a refund” for the game you wish to return
- Choose your reason for the refund and provide any additional details
