April is shaping up to be a busy month for Xbox Game Pass subscribers on Xbox Series X and Series S. Whether you’re an Ultimate subscriber or an Essential member, there’s something for everybody, including the day-one release of Hades 2 on consoles. Indeed, the action roguelike game will be available on Game Pass Ultimate, Game Pass Premium and PC Game Pass from April 14. The game shares many similarities with its predecessor, featuring a superb script, interesting characters and almost endless replayability.

Ahead of the launch of Hades 2 on Xbox Game Pass, Microsoft will first release the likes of DayZ, FBC: Firebreak and Football Manager 26.

It all starts with DayZ on April 8, which is available for Game Pass Ultimate, Game Pass Premium, Game Pass Essential, PC Game Pass.

The PC Game Preview for Endless Legend 2 also joins Game Pass on April 8, alongside FBC: Firebreak for Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass.

The releases continue on April 9 with Planet Coaster 2, followed by Tiny Bookshop on April 11.

Both the PC and console versions of Football Manager 26 will be available from April 13, while the aforementioned release of Hades 2 comes on April 14.

In fact, April 14 looks like it will be a fantastic day for subscribers, with the day-one release of Replaced for Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass.

“Can an AI become human? Expose the sinister secrets of Phoenix Corp as R.E.A.C.H., an AI trapped in a human body,” reads the official description for Replaced.

“Set in an alternate 1980s America, navigate a dark cyberpunk thriller in this cinematic 2.5D platformer blending narrative exploration with fluid, free-flow action.”

The Thaumaturge will also be available on April 14, followed by wider availability for Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered on April 16.

More high profile releases will make their debut in the days to follow, beginning with EA Sports NHL 26 on April 16, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare on April 17, Little Rocket Lab on April 21, alongside Sopa: Tale of the Stolen Potato on the same day.

I’m personally really excited to play Vampire Crawlers on April 21. The Vampire Survivors spinoff is described as a “hyper turn‑based, rogue-lite card‑driven” adventure.

Pottery power fantasy Kiln is the final day one release of the month (for now, at least), making its debut for Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass on April 23.

Finally, Xbox Game Pass Essential subscribers will be able to pick up Warhammer Vermintide 2 and DayZ in April.
