What’s the storyline of The Rip?
Helmed by Joe Carnahan (The Grey), The Rip is a thriller set in Miami following a police team who stumble upon a discovery at a stash house.
When those present clash over their next move, news spreads beyond their control and they face an unthinkable choice.
The film’s synopsis states: “Upon discovering millions in cash in a derelict stash house, trust among a team of Miami cops begins to fray.

Who is in the cast of The Rip?
The film features long-time collaborators Ben Affleck and Matt Damon in the lead roles, playing Detective Sergeant JD Byrne and Lieutenant Dane Dumars respectively.
Affleck and Damon are renowned for their joint appearances in films such as Good Will Hunting, Dogma, The Last Duel, and Air.
Joining them is Steven Yeun, cast as Detective Mike Ro. Known for his role as Glenn in The Walking Dead, Yeun has also starred in critically acclaimed films like Burning and Nope.

When will The Rip be released?
Netflix subscribers won’t have to wait long as The Rip will be ready to stream from this Friday, 16th January.

This translates to a UK release time of 8am on Friday morning, while most European territories can expect the film an hour later, at 9am.
