UK phone owners now have a new network to choose from, and making the switch could save some serious money. Revolut Mobile has just begun rolling out across the country, and those joining during the launch will be treated to some eye-catching perks, including unlimited 5G data, calls, and texts for just £12.50 per month.

That’s a very low price for an unlimited plan – as a guide, EE charges £25 for a similar all-you-can-eat option. This special SIM deal gets even better for anyone travelling. That’s thanks to the inclusion of 20GB of roaming data in the EU, plus it covers the USA as well. That means users won’t face additional charges to access the web in places such as Paris, Barcelona, Berlin, New York and Los Angeles. Once again, some UK networks charge extra for using devices abroad, especially when visiting America.

Other features of Revolut Mobile include global messaging, which allows customers travelling to more than 80 countries to stay connected with a Messaging Pass. This allowance provides low-bandwidth data for messaging and other apps.

Multiple numbers, one plan can be added, so customers can have up to three separate numbers on a single plan. There’s also a complimentary NordVPN subscription to ensure secure and private connections.

The Revolut Mobile network has started to become available to waitlist customers, with general access available in January 2026.

It’s certainly a bold move from the banking and technology firm, but it might not lead to instant success.

“While banking, when combined with mobile connectivity, might seem like an attractive bundle, execution is key,” analysts Paolo Pescatore told Express.co.uk

“It should not be taken for granted that users will switch. Success is not guaranteed, given how dynamic and competitive the current MVNo landscape is.”

Despite some concerns, Revolut is confident that it will be able to take in the big networks such as EE, Vodafone and O2.
