Dubai Airports confirmed tonight there had been an “incident” at Dubai International Airport, although it didn’t confirm whether the air hub had been targeted by an Iranian attack or if it had been by shrapnel. A statement shared on X by the organisation read: “Dubai Airports has confirmed an incident at Dubai International Airport (DXB) just moments ago. Emergency response teams have been activated immediately, and the incident is being handled in coordination with the relevant authorities.” The incident, they added, has resulted in four injuries. It continued: “The necessary urgent medical assistance has been provided to them. Updated information will be broadcast as soon as it is received.”

In the early hours of Saturday, the US and Israel launched strikes on Iranian targets – reportedly including Ayatollah Ali Khamenei’s compound. Tonight, Mr Trump claimed the Iranian leader, who hasn’t been seen today, has died in the strikes. Iran has so far denied Khamenei is dead.
