The great Easter getaway is about to begin, and now there is a new way to keep an eye on your home whilst you’re away. Amazon is launching a brand new Ring Doorbell, which it promises will be its most advanced battery-powered model to date. This latest Video Doorbell Pro can be DIY installed thanks to its wireless design, gets a fast charging battery and offers pin-sharp 4K recordings for the very first time. Until now, only Amazon’s wired cameras have offered that superior image, but now it’s possible to view stunning visuals without the pain of tricky installation.

In addition to ultra HD quality, the new Battery Video Doorbell Pro also offers enhanced 10x zoom and greater clarity when recording at night.

As with all Ring devices, footage is sent directly to your phone, so you’ll always be able to see exactly what’s happening outside the front door.

It’s priced at £219.99 and is available to order now.

The Battery Video Doorbell Pro isn’t the only update coming from Amazon. The firm has also announced the launch of three new 2K Doorbells.

These include the Battery Video Doorbell Plus (2nd Gen), which features a Quick Release Battery Pack, making it faster and easier to recharge while delivering sharp 2K video.

There’s also a Battery Video Doorbell (2nd Gen) that offers clear 2K video and up to 6x Enhanced Zoom in a streamlined, rechargeable design. Finally, Amazon is offering a Wired Video Doorbell (2nd Gen). This includes Retinal 2K Video and is designed for homes with existing doorbell wiring.

Prices for these devices start from £59.99

There is one more camera to watch out for. Ring is also introducing a more premium product called the Wired Video Doorbell Elite. This features impressive Retinal 4K recordings and 10X Enhanced Zoom to get a clearer picture of moments outside the home. True colour video in low light has also been added, along with smarter motion alerts, and remote access control.

Because it’s wired, there’s no need to worry about charging batteries, so there’s always-on connectivity.
