Dell confirms game-changing Windows 11 upgrade that many have been waiting for
Gamers wanting the ultimate experience may well have been tempted by the popular Alienware platform from Dell. These supremely powerful Windows 11 PCs are renowned for offering cutting-edge specs, exceptional performance, along with impressive visuals. There’s already plenty of choice, including the premium Area 51 machines, but now this gaming brand is back with some game-changing updates that could make it even more desirable.
Firstly, Alienware has confirmed the upcoming release of an all-new ultra-slim gaming laptop that finally makes things a lot more portable. Until now, these PCs have been pretty chunky, but that will change once this thinner range arrives in stores, with fans treated to laptops that are just 7mm thick.
Alienware says its new 16-inch laptop is nearly 50 percent smaller in volume than its current 16-inch Area-51 machine. Along with a 16-inch model, gamers will also be able to take delivery of an even more portable 14-inch version.
Of course, there will be a slight compromise as these PCs won’t aim for the same performance ceiling, but they should still deliver serious gaming capability thanks to NVIDIA discrete graphics and new highly efficient CPUs.
Full pricing and a release date are yet to be announced, but watch this space.
As well as unveiling more sleek machines, Alienware has also confirmed that a much cheaper PC is on the way as well.
This entry-level device won’t match the might of its pricer siblings, but it’s still built to Alienware standards by not cutting corners on the things that matter most, such as build quality, thermals and performance.
“We’re introducing an entry-level laptop to open the door for a broader audience,” Dell explained.
“Thoughtfully crafted with no shortcuts on the essentials, this system delivers strong gaming performance in a clean design at our most accessible price point yet.
“Whether you’re seeking pure performance, aesthetic versatility for any setting, or your first true gaming laptop, Alienware will have an option for you.”
Once again, there’s no exact release date or price, but we’ll update this article as soon we hear more.
It’s not just gaming PCs that have been updated. Dell has also confirmed that its XPS brand is making a comeback with a new look, improved performance, long battery life and slimmer design.
