It even features a covered ice rink for those seeking a bit of winter fun.

This regency town is brimming with unique independent shops and boutiques, making it an ideal spot for hunting down distinctive gifts. Plus, it’s conveniently located — just 35 minutes away from Birmingham by train and a similar distance from Bristol. 

Immerse yourself in the festive spirit as you shop under the glow of twinkling fairy lights along the bustling high street, the tree-lined Promenade, and within the stylish Montpellier district.

Warm up with delicious hot food and mulled wine while exploring the stalls at the Cheltenham Christmas Arts and Crafts Market, which runs from 11 to 23 December on The Promenade and Long Gardens, reports Birmingham Live.

The Christmas Artisan Craft Market at Dunkertons Park offers a chance in early December to meet the creators behind a range of hand-crafted artisan products, including cards, stocking fillers, decorations, jewellery, ceramics, glass, prints, textiles, handmade chocolates, natural beauty and wellbeing products, and even dog accessories.

And the Ian Coley Sporting Christmas Market showcases a carefully curated selection of country lifestyle brands, local artisans, and food producers, complemented by a festive cafe menu. Entry is free.

On December 11, Prestbury will host its own Christmas market to coincide with its Christmas light switch-on event. Festivities include a carol concert, children’s activities, hot food and drink, and an opportunity to meet Father Christmas himself. The Spectacle of Light trail is set to dazzle visitors in the gardens of the nearby Sudeley Castle.
