Apple’s latest iPad Air is at its ‘lowest ever’ price for Black Friday
This 11-inch iPad Air was released in March of 2025 and is the middle-tier iPad in Apple’s range, pricier and more performant than the regular iPad but cheaper than the top-of-the-line iPad Pro.
If you want more power under the hood than the entry-level iPad (which is itself on sale for £299) and with a better-made, laminated display (better for use with the Apple Pencil), but don’t want to splash out more than £1,000 on the iPad Pro, the iPad Air is a very solid deal at £499.
It has Apple’s ludicrously powerful M3 chipset inside, which is more than enough computing oomph for practically everyone. You’ll be able to edit 4K videos and produce music on an iPad this powerful, and only anyone with ambitions higher than that need even consider the iPad Pro.
The iPad Air is available for £499 in Space Grey, Blue, Purple and Starlight colours and comes with 128GB storage. This isn’t loads – you can upgrade to 256GB for £579, a sale price that’s £120 off the £699 RRP.
But if you largely want to use the iPad Air to stream video or use apps for work and play that are largely cloud-based, like Google Docs and Gmail, 128GB should suit you fine.
Apple promises “all-day battery life” from this iPad model, which is charged via USB-C. The front-facing camera now resides on the landscape edge of the tablet, so when docked with Apple’s optional Magic Keyboard or other keyboard accessory, you have a webcam for video calls that’s placed centrally.
Hook it up to said keyboard (on sale for £249) and the iPad is a fine laptop replacement – you may find you don’t need to own a laptop at all if this tablet does everything you need it to.
Unlike the cheaper iPad, the iPad Air is fully compatible with Apple Intelligence, Apple’s AI software tools. You also get the latest version of iPadOS that for the first time lets you view iPad apps in adjustable windows akin to a desktop PC, and with the Apple Pencil Pro (on sale for £99) you can draw, sketch and take handwritten notes to your heart’s content in a plethora of compatible apps.
You don’t even need to be a Prime subscriber to take advantage of this solid deal – £100 off the latest iPad Air.
