If you have an Android phone in your pocket and have been weighing up investing in a smartwatch to pair it with, now could be a good time to pull the trigger. Amazon is running a spring sale, and one of Samsung’s best Galaxy Watch models has fallen to a new low price.

The Samsung Galaxy Watch 7 is currently discounted to £139.99, which is a huge £100, 41 percent saving on its usual selling price of £239. Amazon price tracker Camelcamelcamel shows this is the lowest price the Watch 7 has ever been sold at.

The deal is part of Amazon’s Spring Deal Days sale, which has seen price cuts on other popular tech favourites such as Sony headphones, Beats earbuds and Fire TV Sticks.

This Galaxy Watch was released in July 2024 and has since been superseded by the Watch 8, but with its circular design and most of the same features, the Watch 7 on sale is a particularly attractive offering.

You’ll get a smartwatch that pairs with any Android phone, and can deliver notifications to your wrist allowing you to keep your phone in your bag. It’s handy if you don’t want to miss that all important phone call or text.

But the device is also an accomplished fitness tracker and sports watch, with built in GPS so you can track your run routes, even able to leave your phone at home if you wish. Wear it 24/7 and you’ll collect a heap of data about your steps, distance, calories burned and heart rate information thanks to an array of sensors that sit against your wrist.

And if you make sure it has enough juice in the tank before bed, you can wear it at night and it’ll track your sleep. A personalised sleep coaching feature on your phone will than advise you on how to get a better night’s kip.

You’ll also be given a daily energy score via the impressive Samsung Health app, which will assess how ready you are to hit the gym – or indeed if you should take a day off.

£139 gets you the smaller sized 40mm Galaxy Watch 7, but if you want a larger screen and larger battery, the 44mm model is also reduced to £169, down from £269.99.

It’s not clear how long this great Android smartwatch deal will last, but it’s a great price for a watch that should last for several years.
