Amazon offers big reason to ditch your Fire TV Stick and try something different
Bored with your Fire TV Stick? Amazon has just launched a tempting deal that could convince some to try something new. The latest offer from the online retailer drops the cost of the Roku Streaming Stick Plus (2025) from its usual £39.99 price down to just £29.99. That’s a decent discount, but things get even better via a clickable voucher which, once activated, knocks a further £3 off the price. That means this streaming gadget can be purchased for just £26.99.
What makes that price even more attractive is that the Fire TV Stick 4K, which offers similar features, is currently priced at £59.99 – that’s £30 more.
To get the discount you simply need to click the voucher box, add the device to your basket and then head to the checkout. Here you should see the cost tumble from £39.99 to £26.99.

So what’s included on the Roku Stick Plus?
This device, which was refreshed last year, features a new design that’s much thinner than before. Along with looking impressive it also takes up much less space in the back of TVs.
“Our sleek design won’t block neighbouring HDMI ports,” Roku boasts.
It also offers 4K streaming for improved picture quality along with access to all the most popular streaming apps such as Netflix, Disney+, Apple TV and Prime Video.
The Roku channel is also available on these devices, offering a swathe of content without any subscription fees.
Another bonus is that it can be powered by the TV’s USB port. That means it simply plugs it into the back TVs and it stays out of sight with no plug socket or extra cords cluttering things up.
A neat remote comes included with quick keys to launch favourite apps with one touch, along with the ability to use voice controls for faster access to features and content.
If £29.99 sounds a bit pricey, don’t panic, as Amazon is also selling the HD Roku Stick for £24.99.
This won’t stream in ultra HD 4K resolution, but still offers decent picture quality and access to endless hours of content.
These are good deals from Amazon, but Argos is also joining the price cut party.
The UK retailer is offering the Roku Stick Plus for £29.99, but there’s an extra 10 per cent off when adding the code RED10 at checkout.
The HD version is now £24.99 and this can also be dropped by further 10 percent using the RED10 code as well.
