Surprise Fortnite update makes Marvel Endgame more one sided | Gaming | Entertainment

With the brand new Toy Story skins just hours away from launch, Fortnite developer Epic Games has released a surprise new update, complete with balance updates for the popular Marvel Endgame mode in OG. Despite the Marvel Endgame mode dropping out of rotation on April 16, the end of week Fortnite update increases the damage output for a varity of special abilities. However, while it’s always nice to do a bit more damage, some fans have suggested that the latest update leans too heavily in favour of The Avengers.

As you can see from the patch notes below, the update focuses on Iron Man, Captain America, Shuri and War Machine.

Iron Man gets the most love, with his Repulsor and Boot Slam both dealing significantly more damage.

Speaking of the Boot Slam, the cooldown for the move is reduced from ten second to eight seconds, meaning you can use it more often.

Elsewhere, Captain America’s Shield Throw gets a huge buff, with damage increasing from 100 to 150.

War Machine’s Missiles and Arsenal receive much more modest upgrades, while Shuri’s Claw Hits and Pounce are massively improved.

Responding to the announcement on X, some fans argue that the new update makes it even harder to score a victory as the Chitauri and much more one-sided in favour of the heroes.
