Here’s the Black Ops 7 and Warzone Season 3 start time later today | Gaming | Entertainment
Black Ops 7 Season 3 is set to kick off later today with a hoarde of new maps, weapons and modes set to arrive in Activision’s most recent Call of Duty.
With returning fan-favourite maps and some brand new ones too, it’s looking like a pretty meaty update that should keep gamers engaged for the next several weeks. In addition, four new weapons are being added to the rotation, each of which will also be usable in Warzone too.
For those who like to get the jump on a new Call of Duty update as soon as it drops, here’s when you can expect Season 3 to start later today.
Black Ops 7 Season 3 start time
Season 3 is set to kick off in Black Ops 7 and Warzone at 5pm BST on April 2, 2026.
This is a global launch time, so there’s no way to access the new content early by setting your console’s internal clock to a different timezone. Thankfully, this is great news for us UK folks as it means the update should be ready to go by the time most of us clock off work for the day.
If you’re looking to hop on as quickly as possible, the Season 3 update is already available to preload. It’s about 30-40GB depending on the platform you play on, so it’s worth downloading early as that might take a while depending on your internet connection.
What’s new in Black Ops 7 Season 3?
There are five new maps coming to Black Ops 7, some of them brand new and others returning favourites. Here are all the ones you can expect to see in the playlists from this afternoon:
- Beacon (6v6)
- Abyss (6v6/2v2)
- Plaza (6v6)
- Gridlock (6v6)
- Mission: Trident (20v20)
There are also four new weapons coming in the update, with each unlocked either via the Battle Pass, an in-game event, or the weekly challenges. Here are all the new weapons:
- MK35 ISR (Assault Rifle, Battle Pass)
- VST (SMG, Battle Pass)
- Strider 300 (Sniper Rifle, Event)
- 1911 (Pistol, Weekly Challenge Reward)
Of course, it’s not just maps and weapons to look forward to – Activision is bringing a few new modes to the game too. Here’s what to expect:
- Demolition (Launch)
- Aim High (In-Season)
- Snipers Only (In-Season)
Scorestreak fans can look forward to using the new Ion Core ability, which pops down a radioactive device and damages enemies in the nearby area.
