Crimson Desert gets another update that fixes a really annoying problem | Gaming | Entertainment

Crimson Desert developer Pearl Abyss has released yet another update for the popular action-adventure game on PlayStation, Xbox and PC (via Steam). Fresh off the back of a huge update with a host of bug fixes and gameplay improvements, the latest Crimson Desert patch is much smaller in scope, although it does make one very important fix for a problem that was really frustrating for every fan that encountered it.

According to the short and sweet Crimson Desert patch notes, the new hotfix update fixes a problem with certain boss encounters.

Specifically, the update fixes an issue where bosses would occasionally just completely stop moving during combat.

“Fixed an issue where some bosses would sometimes stop moving during combat,” the patch notes read.

The latest update comes hot on the heels of a separate download that added new content, including five new horse mounts, refinement tokens for improving weapons, and chests containing valuable materials.

However, the real highlight were the improvements to the game’s controls and flight functionality.

For example, Pearl Abyss improved movement controls for both the player character and horse.

Movement speed can be increased by holding down the running key, and by tapping the running key just once. This was something that I had an issue with, so it’s nice to see a fix.

Another key improvement is with the usability of Flight, which now requires less stamina.

Equipped equipment can also be used while flying, and a fix has been introduced for times when Flight wouldn’t activate.
