Argos dishes out cheap Roku Stick upgrades but only if you know this code

Now is a very good time to think about splashing out on a new Roku Stick. A big sale event is currently taking place with stores, including Amazon, cutting the cost of these popular streaming devices by as much as 20 percent. That’s a nice bonus, but Argos shoppers are being treated to something even better. The UK retailer is currently offering the same money off but is then dropping things further when customers use the code RED10 at checkout. That added discount means you can get the Roku HD for under £24 and the ultimate Roku Stick 4K for less than £39.

As a quick guide, the ultimate Roku Stick 4K offers a sleek design that takes up less space in the back of the telly. It features voice controls, quick keys on the remote along with access to all the most popular streaming apps including Disney+, Netflix, Prime Video and Apple TV. There’s also free content via the Roku Channel.

Along with being cheaper, there’s another reason to think about buying a Roku Stick. The streaming giant has just announced the launch of a swathe of bonus content, which is arriving on all of its devices. The best part is that everything can be viewed without paying a penny for the privilege. The blockbuster upgrade is also thanks to a partnership with ITV Studios which is offering Roku users access to movies, reality TV and entertainment.

Here’s what owners can now watch for free.

The Graham Norton Show • Hell’s Kitchen • Hotel Inspector • River Monsters • British Screen Classics – Bringing you the very best of British cinema. Showing a range of genres across comedy, horror, war, drama, adventure and romance, you’ll find the films you love all in one place.

“We’re delighted to bring these well-loved ITV Studios channels to Roku in the UK,” said Tom Price, Director, Content Distribution – Europe & Australia, Roku. “The new channels build on the strong momentum of our FAST offering and reflect our commitment to expanding locally relevant content. Our FAST channels make it easy for viewers to enjoy popular shows without any subscription fees.”

The channels are available now via The Roku Channel and Roku’s Live TV Guide. Viewers can browse the Live TV section or search by channel name to start watching.
