Sky dishes out surprise free TV upgrade and you can get it today
Big changes are taking place at Sky. The TV firm recently announced a new Ultimate plan which now bundles its own premium channels in with Netflix and Disney+ for a low monthly price. HBO Max will then be added when this streaming platform launches next week. But that’s not all. Subscribers to the Ultimate TV option will also get access to Hayu later in the year, with this service beaming a bunch of reality content to UK screens.
It won’t officially launch until July, but, in a surprise twist, Sky says it is now offering reality fans “a treat” with a selection of Hayu’s most talked-about shows now available to watch.
This is thanks to an update called the “Taste of Hayu”, which is now live and features over 150 episodes from the platform’s biggest franchises.
Content available to view includes shows like Below Deck Mediterranean, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City and Vanderpump Rules,
Sky Stream and Sky Glass customers with Sky Ultimate TV, Sky Q and Sky+ customers will have access to this, with select seasons available to watch on demand.
The full launch of Hayu on Sky will come in July, unlocking the Hayu catalogue for customers. Reality fans will be able to watch hundreds of additional series and catch new episodes of hit franchises the same day as they air in the US, all included within their Sky TV experience.
“Reality fans are in for a treat, with a selection of Hayu’s most talked-about shows now available to watch for Sky TV subscribers,” Sky explained in an email sent to Express.co.uk.
“Customers can enjoy select seasons of favourites including Below Deck and The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills straight from their homepage, on demand and included within their Sky subscription, giving a taste of what’s to come before the full launch of Hayu on Sky in July.”
Hayu now joins Netflix and Disnery+ which are both part of Sky Ultimate already. HBO Max arrives next week, and then the full Hayu boost comes later in the year.
