Thomas Benjamin Kennington was born on 7 April 1856 and lived till 10 Dec 1916. He was a British artist and was a well-known social realist, genre and portrait painter. He was a regular exhibitor at the Royal Society of British Artists in the Suffolk Street and the Grosvenor Gallery. He was also awarded a bronze award/medal at the exposition Universelle of 1889.
