A section of a busy motorway near a major UK airport is shut, leading to “significant delays” this morning.

The M11 close to Stansted Airport has been temporarily closed early on Thursday, February 26, The Mirror reports.

“This is causing significant delays up to junction 13 on the southbound carriageway,” stated Cambridgeshire Constabulary in a post on X.

Lane two remains shut until further notice, the force confirmed. This is likely to impact journeys on the M11 this morning.
