When it comes to science-backed skincare that delivers clinically proven results, few brands can rival beauty expert-loved Medik8. And now, skincare fans can restock their favourites or finally invest in that hero product for less.

It comes as Medik8 has launched a sitewide sale offering customers 20% off almost everything for a limited time. The deal launched at 9am this morning (February 24), and will run for one week until Monday, March 2.

The 20% discount will be applied automatically to the basket, meaning there’s no faffing around inputting codes. What’s more is that those who spend £150 or more will get a free full-size C-Tetra, worth £45, with their basket, which is worth noting if it’s one of the products you were planning to purchase.

There are a few products that the discount doesn’t extend to, however, with accessories, kits, bundles and travel sizes not included. The sale also excludes the newly launched Niacinamide Peptides, which was released last month.

One of the products Medik8 has become renowned for is their Crystal Retinal, and this 20% off deal presents the ideal opportunity to try it, restock it, or upgrade to the stronger formula. Vitamin A is a key ingredient in anti-ageing skincare, with This Morning’s Nadine Baggott hailing Medik8’s formulation as ‘gold standard’.

The award-winning product comes in six strengths, with Medik8 suggesting 6 ‘regular’ for most people. Lower strengths are available for those with more sensitive skin, while advanced retinoid users may opt for higher strengths.

Prices vary depending on strength, but CR6 is usually £69, but would be £55.20 with the discount. With 100 uses per tube, that works out at 55p per use.

The formula is clinically proven to visibly soften wrinkles, brighten dark spots and refine texture for clearer, firmer, more radiant-looking skin. Delivered via crystal encapsulation, it’s said to work up to 11x faster than standard retinol, but is still gentle enough to avoid irritation in most cases.

Crystal Retinal has earned quite the cult following, with a 4.9 star rating based on more than 7,600 reviews. One said: “I’ve been using Crystal Retinal nightly and love how it smooths fine lines and brightens my complexion. It’s gentle compared to other retinoids, and my skin feels firmer and clearer with minimal irritation.”

“This is one of the best products on the market,” said another. “It’s encapsulated so it has the best delivery system. You can build it up and it will never irritate your skin. It has definitely helped with my fine lines and wrinkles.”

A third hailed it the ‘best thing I’ve ever bought’, adding: “The difference it’s done to my skin is amazing. Everyone always asks what I’ve done as it’s so noticeable and clear now. I use it every night with restore and target. I also have got family and friends on it now and they can’t believe how amazing it is.”

Not everyone has noticed an improvement, though, with one three-star review reading: “I have been using this now for just over three weeks, but not noticed any changes yet. I will carry on and hopefully see some improvement soon.” Another commented: “I found that the aroma of the serum is too intense.”

Though most people have been thrilled with their skincare hero, commenting: “I’m 48 yo and just started using this product and even the beginner’s number 3 has faded my dark spots and brightened my complexion. Has made a massive difference to the texture of my skin too. I’m just in love with this product.”

For those seeking something on a tight budget The INKEY List Advanced Retinal Serum 15ml is a solid choice. It’s £15 for 15ml, so it would be £30 for the same amount as the Medik8 formula. Powered by 0.2% encapsulated retinaldehyde, proven to work faster than standard retinol, it boosts collagen production and improves elasticity.

Meanwhile, Facetheory’s Retinal Supreme MultiCream 0.2% formula costs £55.  Powered by ‘prescription-adjacent retinal’ and buffered with barrier-restoring hydrators, it claims to deliver visibly smoother, brighter, and more even skin without the usual side effects.

Back at Medik8, another standout product reduced in the sale is the Liquid Peptides Advanced MP. Originally £79, the price will drop to £63.20 at the checkout. Created with a 30% multi-peptide complex, it’s the perfect product for those seeking immediate results, designed to smooth expression lines and reduce deep wrinkles in 8 weeks.

One of the ingredients in the serum is Matrixyl 3000, which is very similar to Matrixyl 3000 Plus, found in a selection of No7 anti-ageing products, including their Line Correcting Booster Serum for £34.95.

One Medik8 shopper said: “I am obsessed with this product! The fact that it minimises your lines in minutes and has growth factors that help with wrinkles, it has everything my 49-year-old mature skin needs. I have seen visible improvements since I started using this product.”  However, another noted that it had a ‘sticky consistency’, which put them off using it.

Not every Medik8 product is quite as expensive as those mentioned above, though. As a beauty writer, Medik8 features quite prominently in my own skincare routine. Some formulas I’m particularly fond of include the £25 Blemish SOS, which is a life-saver for quickly getting rid of pesky blemishes, as well as the Press and Glow Toner, which is £34 initially, then £28 for the refills.

Until Monday, March 2 at 9am, skincare fans can get 20% off on the Medik8 website, and receive a free serum worth £45 when they spend £150.
