Samsung’s latest premium Galaxy Watch is now significantly more affordable
That’s a great price for a very capable smartwatch that works best with a Samsung phone but will happily pair with any modern Android phone (you’ll just lose access to a couple of features such as the ability to take an ECG heart reading).
The Ultra is the Samsung watch to get if you like a brash, bulky look to your tech, but it’s also a winner for battery life in comparison to other models, rated for up to 135 hours overall with various power saving modes enabled. In full smartwatch mode you should be good for a couple of days.
Running Google’s WearOS platform you can download apps such as Spotify for offline music listening, Strava to track runs, AllTrails to conquer your local hiking routes and tons of other apps besides. I personally find scanning my Tesco Clubcard much quicker from my wrist, a sure sign of me hastily approaching 40.
You shouldn’t run out of space thanks to a generous 64GB storage, plus you get 4G connectivity. If your mobile provider allows it, you can connect your number to the watch, which lets you use it on a cellular signal, meaning you can leave your phone at home.
With full water and dust resistance you can use the Watch Ultra to track your swims, as well as wear it in the shower. It’ll track all your other sporting endeavours too, with built in GPS for your runs and heart rate and temperature sensors to monitor your gym workout and also measure your sleep quality.
You also get on-wrist Samsung Galaxy AI tools, as well as a three year extended warranty when you buy this advanced wearable from Amazon.
The Galaxy Watch Ultra (2025) is also £479 from Argos and Currys, so you can take your pick of retailers. It’s available with blue, orange, black or white bands.
