As per Thai Fire and Rescue, a slew of volunteer rescue units descended on the scene of the Wednesday morning crash, which took place at about 10.30am local time.

Rescue units from Hook 31 Nakhon Ratchasima, Phromtham Sikhiu Rescue, Sawangwicha Pak Chong Rescue, and Sung Noen Rescue were all on hand to assist alongside emergency crews.

Using ‘jaws of life’ hydraulic cutters, a number of passengers were cut free from the train wreckage and taken to a slew of local hospitals.

The That Post reports the injured have been admitted including Sikhiu Hospital, Sung Noen Hospital, and Maharaj Nakhon Ratchasima Hospital.
