News in March 2021, the former child actor disclosed he had been pursuing a career in finance following his break from the “fickle” entertainment world, explaining: “Since I was a kid, I wanted to have a large family. Luckily, simultaneously when things started to slow down in acting in my early 20s, another opportunity presented itself for me with a company that I started working with at age 25.
“And I’ve been with that company ever since. It’s a sales position with a company working in finance. I’ve grown into a management position and it’s worked out really well.”
He made his return to screens with the 2024 TV movie My Acting Coach Nightmare.

In 1997, Allen found himself on the wrong side of the law again, this time for drink driving in Michigan. The actor was given a one-year probation and entered rehab in 1998 for alcohol abuse as ordered by the court.
Since then, Allen has made a remarkable turnaround and achieved sobriety. His recent work includes The Santa Clauses, Shifting Gears, and more, with the actor set to return as Buzz in Toy Story 5 (2026).

Annie’s professional life may be glittering, but her personal journey has been marred by tragedy. The actress was involved in a near-fatal car crash at the tender age of 21, when she was hit by a group of drunken teenagers drag racing on the wrong side of the road.
During the horrific accident, Annie was travelling with her first husband, Steven Hartley. The crash resulted in the loss of the heel of her right foot, while her then-husband tragically lost his left leg.
