UK broadband offered at just £18 per month in new Black Friday sale
Broadband can get quite expensive in 2025, especially if you opt for the fastest possible options using fibre optic cables. But there is another way to get speedy Wi-Fi in your home, and one UK broadband provider is currently offering it for a cheaper price this Black Friday.
Three UK has unveiled pricing for its Black Friday sale, with the most eye-catching offer on the firm’s 5G Broadband, which you can currently sign up to for just £18 per month. If it works for you, that’s a significant saving on many competing packages from rivals.
As stated, this is 5G broadband, which uses 5G cellular data to beam Wi-Fi across your house instead of getting your connection from fibre cabling. You connect to your Wi-Fi router in exactly the same way as other services, it’s just the way that the connection is supplied is over a wireless data connection, similar to how your smartphone connects to the mobile network.
This package is usually £21 per month, so that £3 per month saving will add up to £72 saved overall over the course of the 24 month contract. Three UK is offering unlimited data too, so there’s no cap on your usage.
As part of the Black Friday fun, Three is offering other perks if you are looking to switch to its services. Not only will the firm pay your last bill for up to £100, it will also give you a £50 gift card.
You can use Three’s coverage checker to see if your home address is eligible for this service.
Three UK says the price of the broadband will increase to £21.50 on April 1, 2026, and again to £25 on April 1, 2027. Make sure to check the terms and conditions to see if this is the right plan for you, but it’s certainly cheaper than it once was in this sale.
The average download speed of this connection is 150Mbps, which is on the lower end of speedy. But if all you need home Wi-Fi for is to connect your phone, laptop and smart TV to stream Netflix, it should be adequate.
Just be warned if you are hoping to serve a house full of several people all trying to connect to stream video, make video calls and play online console games over the connection, as it might not be what you need.
Three UK says there are no additional upfront costs and you are entitled to a 30-day money back guarantee if the service ends up not being to your liking, plus there’s no landline included and no engineer visit needed. The router gets delivered to your door and you can simply plug it in and set it up yourself.
5G broadband is popular with customers who aren’t serviced by reliable or fast fibre broadband networks in their area. Using the mobile network to get Wi-Fi is a viable option, and is sometimes preferred even if fibre is available as it doesn’t require anything cabling to be brought into the house or holes drilled through walls by engineers.
This special price on Three UK’s 5G Broadband is available now and ends on December 1, 2025.
