Charlotte Tilbury fans get 30% off trio for ‘glowy’ skin

Devotees of Charlotte Tilbury will know that the makeup and skincare brand doesn’t often have sales, but this week it launched its early Black Friday deals. As well as 50% off its Mystery Boxes – now sold out – there are offers on best-selling skincare and makeup bundles.

One particular deal has caught our eye: a 30% discount on the Complexion Trio, a set including three of the brand’s most popular products that shoppers say give “glowy” skin.

It includes travel-sized versions of the brand’s popular Magic Cream, which works as both a primer and moisturiser; its much-praised Airbrushed Flawless setting spray, and a full-sized Beautiful Skin foundation. Purchased individually, the products would cost £87, but the bundle drops the price down to £60.90.

The set contains a 15ml tub of the best-selling Magic Cream, which works as both a primer and moisturiser. It is infused with hydrating hyaluronic acid, vitamins C and E and plumping peptides.

Fans of the moisturiser are leaving glowing reviews online, with one saying: “Makeup applies beautifully on top of this cream, nothing else I’ve tried compares to the result this gives.”

Another shopper on Cult Beauty said: “I don’t know how it does it but it makes my oily skin less oily throughout the day, skin looks and feels more plump and hydrated. It can literally turn a heavy, dry-looking foundation into natural finish.”

Not all agree: “As an oily/combo skin I do find this too much for every day,” wrote one. “But I prefer this as a treat for my skin whenever I’m going for dinner and just want a really beautiful and flawless finish.”

This kit also includes a full-sized 30ml tube of Charlotte’s Beautiful Skin Foundation. This is a medium-coverage foundation that the brand says combines skincare benefits with buildable coverage, designed to brighten skin and “restore its glow”. According to the brand, it has been formulated with skincare ingredients like hyaluronic acid for hydration and a rose complex for targeting pigmentation. It comes in 30 shades, but for anyone unsure, the brand’s online shade-matching tool Foundation Finder could help.

One fan wrote: “This foundation makes my skin look so nice and glowy, I absolutely love how smooth my base comes out, when I use it!” Another said: “The best foundation ever! I have rosacea and it covers it up amazingly. I’m 72 and my friends tell me that my skin glows with health.”

However, not all felt it lived up to promises, with one writing: “The coverage was medium but I found it just never melted I to my skin like I was hoping! I wanted the finish to be a little more dewy and brightening than it was. it dried down more than I expected so I wouldn’t recommend using much powder to set.”

The kit also includes a travel-sized bottle of its Airbrush Flawless Setting Spray, which claims to give up to 16 hours of transfer-proof hold.

The setting spray contains ingredients like hydrating aloe vera and rejuvenating green tea, but it also has a resin extract that claims to “blur” pores, creating the illusion of smoother skin.

With Christmas party season approaching, it could be a useful addition to makeup bag. Express writer Eve Wagstaff used the spray on her wedding day. In a review of the product, she wrote: “My foundation, blusher, and even highlighter looked fresh from being applied in the morning through to last dance — not a smudge in sight. In fact, the only thing I topped up all day was my lipstick.”

One shopper who left a review on SpaceNK where it has a rating of 4.7 out of five from over 4000 reviews, wrote that as well as its impressive saying power that it keeps makeup “flawless with no creasing”.

Another wrote via SpaceNK: “It has a really fine mist which doesn’t leave your face feeling wet, has a light and lovely smell and really keeps my makeup on all day. It it also really hydrating and makes my skin look really good.”

Some reviews were  was less positive, including one that said: “It stings my sensitive skin. I tried it again. After the third try I decided, it doesn’t work for me at all. The scent is also overbearing.”
