Fackham Hall is an upcoming motion picture by British comedian Jimmy Carr and the trailer has already sent fans into a frenzy.

Set in England during the early 1900s, the production follows a murder mystery and has been described as a blend between Downton Abbey and Monty Python.

The parody centres on Eric Noone (portrayed by Ben Radcliffe), after he secures employment at an extraordinary manor house called Fackham Hall.

As he ascends through the hierarchy, he embarks on a forbidden romance with lady-of-the-house Rose Davenport (Thomasin McKenzie).

The trailer alone has shattered records and enthusiasts are eager to discover whether Fackham Hall will premiere in the UK.

Has Fackham Hall got a UK release date?

The trailer for the picture by Jim O’Hanlon achieved 7.3million views following its launch on October 28.

This makes it the most-watched trailer ever for production company Bleecker Street.

Bleecker Street will release the picture in cinemas across the United States on December 5.

However, it is currently disappointing news for enthusiasts in the UK, as there is no UK release date at this moment in time.

The star-studded picture also features Harry Potter star Tom Felton, with Jimmy Carr himself also making an appearance.

Filming took place in Yorkshire in 2024, with audiences questioning why a UK release date has not yet been announced.

Jimmy Carr shared the poster for the picture on Instagram, saying: “Born to aristocracy. Bred for idiocy. Coming to US theaters December 5.”

Numerous fans rushed to the comments section enquiring about a UK release date, though Jimmy offered no confirmation as to whether it would premiere in Britain on the same date, or indeed at all.

In a separate post sharing the trailer, he wrote: “Tea will be spilled. Crumpets will be crumpeted. If Downton Abbey and Airplane! had a lovechild born with a silver spoon up its a***, it’d be FACKHAM HALL-the raucous newwhodunit comedy coming to US theaters December 5!”.

Audiences will need to wait and see whether a UK release date is confirmed at a later stage.
