Lo Blacklock – Keira Knightley
Keira Knightley, known for her roles in Bend It Like Beckham and the Pirates of the Caribbean series, takes on the lead role as Lo Blacklock. The 40 year old English actress is married to musician James Righton and they have two children together.
Richard Bullmer – Guy Pearce
The film’s villain, Richard Bullmer, is portrayed by Guy Pearce. The 58 year old English-Australian actor is recognised for his performances in The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert and The Brutalist.
He shares a son with his former partner, Dutch actress Carice van Houten.
Robert Mehta – Art Malik
Art Malik, a 72 year old British actor famed for The Jewel in the Crown and Holby City, plays Robert Mehta, the ship’s doctor. He is married and has two daughters.
Rowan – Gugu Mbatha-Raw
Gugu Mbatha-Raw, the 42 year old English actress, is a familiar face to viewers from her roles in Surface, Loki and Undercovers.
Grace – Kaya Scodelario
Grace is portrayed by Kaya Scodelario, a 33 year old English actress who shot to fame with her role as Effy Stonem in Skins. She’s also recognised for her performances in the Maze Runner series and The Gentlemen.
Adam Sutherland- Daniel Ings
Adam Sutherland is played by Daniel Ings, a 39 year old English actor celebrated for his roles in Lovesick and The Gentlemen. In June 2024, it was announced that he would be stepping into the shoes of Lyonel Baratheon in the Game of Thrones spin-off, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms.

Heidi Heatherley – Hannah Waddingham
Heidi Heatherley is brought to life by Hannah Waddingham, a 51 year old actress and singer who gained prominence as Rebecca Welton in Ted Lasso. Her acting credits also include Game of Thrones, Sex Education and Benidorm.
She was romantically involved with Italian businessman Gianluca Cugnetto for a decade and they welcomed a daughter in 2014.
Ben Morgan – David Ajala
Ben Morgan, Lo’s ex-boyfriend in the film, is played by David Ajala, a 39 year old British actor. He’s known for his roles in Supergirl, Nightflyers, and Star Trek: Discovery.
The star is married to presenter and travel agent Terri Martin and they are parents to two sons.
Thomas Heatherley – David Morrissey
Thomas Heatherley is portrayed by David Morrissey, a 61 year old English actor and filmmaker renowned for his roles in The Walking Dead and Sherwood. His directorial debut came with the TV film Don’t Worry About Me, which aired on BBC Two.
He is a father to three children.

The enigmatic character of Carrie is portrayed by Gitte Witt, a 42 year old Norwegian actress famed for her roles in The Impossible, Cadaver and The Sleepwalker.
Lars Jensen – Christopher Rygh
Christopher Rygh, a 44 year old Norwegian actor, plays Lars Jensen. Viewers may recognise him as Agnarr from Vikings: Valhalla, and he also starred in Gangs of Oslo and The Last Kingdom.

John Macmillan, a British actor who began his career in theatre before starring in Silk, Chewing Gum and Hang Ups, takes on the role of Captain Addis.
Danny Tyler – Paul Kaye
Paul Kaye, a 60 year old comedian and actor known for playing Thoros of Myr in Game of Thrones and Mr Wormwood in the Royal Shakespeare Company’s musical Matilda, portrays Danny Tyler.
Sigrid Nilssen – Amanda Collin
Sigrid Nilssen is played by Amanda Collin, a 39 year old Danish actress recognised for her work in Department Q: A Conspiracy of Faith, House of the Dragon and Raised by Wolves.
Anne Lyngstad Bullmer – Lisa Loven Kongsli
Lisa Loven Kongsli, a 46 year old Norwegian actress, plays Richard’s wife Anne Lyngstad Bullmer. She started her career in 2008 and has starred as Amazon warrior Menalippe in Wonder Woman and Justice League.
Izzy – Ayọ̀ Owóyẹmi-Peters
Izzy is portrayed by Ayọ̀ Owóyẹmi-Peters, a recent graduate of the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama.
