A travel blogger has shared five “perfect” October destinations for anyone dreaming of a cosy getaway with “medieval lanes, golden forests, and riverside pubs”. Posting on TikTok as @thenatalieway1, the travel lover revealed her top recommendations for holidaymakers looking for an autumn trip they’ll never forget.

Natalie told followers: “The October you’ll dream about for years is hiding in these five European small towns.” Her caption explained: “October in Europe belongs to its small towns. Forget the crowded capitals—this is the month when medieval lanes, golden forests, and riverside pubs come alive in softer light. These five villages hold the sweet spot.”

In her video, Natalia said: “I was going to keep these five towns to myself because I think these are the most perfect five places that you can go in Europe for the most quintessential October stays.”

Pitlochry, Scotland

The blogger explained: “Pitlochry in Scotland, foliage that’s on fire, salmon runs, whiskies by the fireplace, and at night the Enchanted Forest.”

TripAdvisor said: “Highland Perthshire places some of Scotland’s most spectacular scenery within easy reach of both Glasgow and Edinburgh, and Pitlochry is the most geared-up base from which to enjoy it.

Burford, England

Natalie concluded: “Finally, Burford in England in the Cotswolds. Golden Cotswold stones against all of the changing colours of the leaves, the hikes, the pubs, perfection.”
