Brit in Majorca ‘baffled’ by tourists’ behaviour at pool – ‘never seen anything so funny’ | Europe | Travel
A Brit was equally baffled and humoured by “scandalous” behaviour at a pool in Majorca on a recent family trip. The mum was holidaying at a hotel near Magaluf with her daughters and partner when she captured the baffling moment.
Sheralee repeatedly asked viewers to “please look” as a sunbed war erupted as she filmed from her bedroom window as the pool opened. She can be heard calling to her daughters, saying: “Girls, watch this. I’ve never seen anything like it in my whole life. Watch how they all run for the sun loungers, please watch.”
The mum kept laughing as they watched hordes of people being held back behind gates before they sprinted to hunt for the best spots as soon as the gates inched open.
The minute-long video showed the loungers filling up quickly as the tourists quickly separated to mark their territory with towels.
Even though Sheralee was laughing at the crowds, she had also asked her partner to go downstairs to join in the madness, so they didn’t miss out on a spot. She giggled as he ran through the empty children’s pool to get to the prime waterside loungers quicker.
In the video captioned “Never seen anything so funny in my life,” the tourist branded the behaviour ” scandalous.” The video, shared on TikTok, has now worried and baffled viewers and amassed more than 2,300 likes.
One user responded: “Would rather sit on the floor than do that hahahaha”. Another added: “May this kind of vacation never find me.”
A third suggested: “I always hate this. I don’t understand why they don’t number the sunloungers so each room has their own allocation”
One questioned: “This is what I’m dreading. where is this Majorca?” Sheralee confirmed it was, but reassured her: “To be fair it’s not been as bad as the holidays gone on, and there’s always free sun loungers.”
Giving a possible solution to sunbed wars, another user claimed: “Sunrise Oasis Water Park in Protaras allocates two beds per room and bean bag beds for kids. Absolute game changer!”
